
This year 26th Galway Kilcoona Scout Group are organising a group camp for all sections. This will be an exciting weekend at the Lough Keel Scout Campsite in Roscommon. It is a great opportunity for the group to get together and learn new skills and have lots of fun.

Camp 2025 Information
- This is a 2 night camp for all sections , but 1 night and day rate options will be available.
- All sections will be mixed for Team Games & Camp responsibility . Beavers, Cubs , Scouts , Ventures will be responsible for Cooking , Cleaning , Washing , Serving & of course having fun over the weekend. Teams are scored based on their team work and good deeds also !
- Please use WhatsApps Groups to manage car sharing as no transport is provided.
All sections will on Friday (25th April) evening and will be camping for 2 nights and taking part in one of the locations activities as well and having lots of fun activities organised by the group. There will be no transport provided to or from this camp.
On Saturday morning , all sections will have some aerial fun on “ZipIT” – https://loughkey.ie/activities/zipit-forest-adventures/

- Friday Evening – Arrive , Setup camp & Have fun
- Saturday Morning – ZipIT acitvity. ( Different levels of difficultly for all ages )
- Saturday Afternoon , all sections will have lots of fun around the site Orienteering.
- Saturday Evening – We will have a treasurer hunt , where all sections must locate various items , some unusual and some not !
Saturday Night – A wonderful night of Song and Campfire ! - Sunday Morning – Break Site & Pack Up
- Sunday Mid Morning – Team Games – The fun is not over yet ! See our Video for previous team games !
- Sadly then , its time for home !
Cost
– We hope to keep the cost within budget but this may change due to the numbers attending
- All Sections €60

- A deposit of €30 by 7th March if your child would like to attend , for all including Day Rate.

Note: There is no need to bring any food (including sweets) as it will all be provided.
If your Beaver, Cub, Scout or Venture requires any medication while we are on the camp please speak to your section leader. For any medication needed by your child please provide it in a clear resealable plastic bag with instructions on it. It will also include a medical consent form.
