Ventact 2026 Deposit

Ventact South is an activity weekend for the Senior Sections of Scouting and Guiding.

Ventact is the biggest Venture camp in the country. It’s the first weekend in September every year and has run for almost 50 years. Imagine it being more like a festival than a scout camp. Ventures from all over the country attend, as well as some international patrols. 

– Dates: 4th – 6th September 2026

This camp sells out fast (2 minutes last year), so we need all deposits made before noon on Friday the 12th June. The booking is a group booking

No places can be held. If we don’t get booked, we return the deposit, or you can offset it against fees (but not registration)..

The rules state:

– Only pay for tickets that you have collected money for! Tickets are non transferable between groups and are non-refundable.

The camp costs overall is €110 including the camp tickets, the shuttle bus from Cork to the camp, food for the weekend and transporting the equipment required. A deposit of €65 is required. This payment is only for Ventures from 26th Galway as we cannot register others. 

Usually the Ventures all travel together on the same Citylink bus and avail of shuttle buses to and from the camp. This is usually the 4:30pm bus to Cork and the 11am bus back. Parents/Ventures need to book this separately and the exact details will be confirmed. Based on current prices, this is €32.5 for a teen. .
