Task 5 Sustainability Goals

Information

Our next task is related to Clean Water and Sanitation.

When scouts are out on activities like hiking or camping, they have to carefully plan for having enough water with them, or being able to access clean water. For others around the world, they face these challenges on a daily basis.

To Do

Create a water filter using materials at home ( note – this is to demonstrate the ability to filter out debris , but the water will not be drinkable – would need to be boiled for approx 5 minutes also )

You will need:

• Water / Soft Drink plastic bottle 500ml (will be cut up)
• Cottonwool
• Old sock
